Lydia Orpia-Descanzo arrived in Brooks in 2008, having travelled from La Union, Philippines. Lydia has completed a LC2 Caregiver certificate, Customer Service certificate and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, with a major in management. She is a graduate of the University of the East in Manila. She has spent much of her career in customer service and is experienced working in a diversified workplace.
In April 2013, she completed the Administrative Office Professional Program at the Medicine Hat College, Brooks campus. Originally a volunteer, then a temporary employee in May 2013, Lydia started her current position at BCIS in July of 2014.
Lydia enjoys singing and was a member of a band when she was in school
