Heather Kazimir has Bachelor Degree in education and worked for almost nine (9) years at the Brooks Campus, as the Brooks Literacy Coordinator. She has attended many professional development sessions on ESL preliteracy/literacy and cultural compassion. Heather has also been a substitute teacher in most of the schools in Grasslands over the past twenty years, including county schools and colony schools. She volunteers for the Encounters With Canada Program in Ottawa as a monitor.
Having a strong background in education and years of working with service providers in the community, Heather has many contacts and vast knowledge of the community and the services provided. She is comfortable setting up workshops for both newcomers and service providers on numerous topics. Heather looks forward to setting up sessions according to the needs of our clients!
Heather is an avid Brooks Bandits fan and a firm supporter of all community events. Camping and reading occupy her spare time, when she is not being a hockey mom.
