Diana Sanchez has a professional background is in law. She earned her degree in Colombia and practiced there before moving to Canada in 2008. She is an active member of the Colombian community in Brooks, organizing events and creating connections with different service organizations and businesses. She started volunteering as an interpreter for BCIS in 2011 and was hired shortly thereafter. In her role as the Intake Counselor, she is in charge of all BCIS client files and records. She provides the first orientation to clients and shares information about both BCIS programs and the opportunities open to newcomers in the community. Diana loves to travel and hopes she will be able to visit every Caribbean island with her family.
